A market driven by the renewal of European fleets

The European Union and six member states have committed over €600 million through the rescEU mechanism to renew their water bomber fleets, while the newly ordered aircraft are not expected before 2028, with delays considered likely. The KEPPLAIR 72 aims to meet this need faster, through the conversion of an already-certified platform — see our page on the choice of the ATR 72.

Why convert an ATR 72?

Confirmed commercial traction

18 letters of intent worth up to €400 million have already been signed by potential operators, while the first aircraft continues its conversion in Toulouse-Blagnac.

Why invest in Kepplair Evolution

  • A complementary positioning

Without scooping capability, the KEPPLAIR 72 reinforces existing fleets rather than directly competing with them.

  • Institutional validation

France 2030 laureate, backed by the DGSCGC and the Occitanie Region.

  • Managed technical risk

An already-certified ATR 72 airframe, rather than a new aircraft developed from a blank sheet.
